It was at approximately 7:37pm, on February 9th, 2004, when an officer from the Haverhill NH Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a single car accident. Route 112 winds along the Wild Ammonoosuc River and it was at a hairpin turn where control was lost and the vehicle came to rest. The driver was later identified as Maura Murray, a 21 year old college student from Massachusetts. There has been no credible sighting of her since.

In the years since Maura's accident and subsequent disappearance, a storm of theories surfaced online and amongst citizen detectives. A number of blogs and topic boards have been dedicated to uncovering the mystery but more often than not the rational discussions collapses and vitriol becomes the norm.

Our documentary will be told in segments and isn't just about Maura and her disappearance. Each part is an examination of how this singular incident resulted in a societal ripple effect, and the inevitable obsession to uncover the truth that follows.
